American Contracting & Excavation is a family-owned heavy civil contractor based in Naples, Florida. We've been building Southwest Florida's infrastructure for over 30 years — and we still run our jobs the same way we always have: with experienced people, the right equipment, and direct communication from bid to closeout.
Who we are

American Contracting & Excavation was founded on a simple idea: that the best civil work comes from people who are accountable in the field — not just on paper. Over three decades, that idea has shaped everything from how we hire to how we run a job.
We're a self-performing contractor. Our crews handle earthwork, underground utilities, demolition, foundations, hydrovac, and CCTV inspection with our own equipment and our own people. That means fewer handoffs, tighter coordination, and a single point of contact for the GC, owner, and engineer.
Southwest Florida is our home market. We know the soil conditions, the permit process, the utility owners, and the inspectors. That local knowledge — built over 30 years of field work — is part of what we bring to every project.

Accountable field leadership
Our superintendents and foremen are experienced, long-tenured, and empowered to make decisions in the field. You won't be chasing answers through layers of management.
Equipment-backed execution
We own and maintain our own fleet — excavators, dozers, hydrovac trucks, and specialty equipment. No waiting on subcontractors or rental availability to keep your schedule.
Direct communication
From the first bid call to final closeout, you'll deal directly with the people running the job. We return calls, answer questions, and flag issues before they become problems.
Prequalification ready
We maintain current insurance, bonding, safety records, and financial documentation. Our prequalification packages are complete and ready when your project requires them.
